Leeds Archive Collection

  • onCore UK is inviting applications for use of human tissue samples from its Leeds Archive Collection
  • The collection contains around 300,000 human tissue samples covering the period from the early 1900s to 1978 and has potential use in research into the detection, treatment and prevention of disease
  • The collection represents a high diversity of anatomical sites covering all major diseases and is a comprehensive collection of diseases encountered through routine surgical pathology practice. Normal tissue samples are also available.
  • The samples are paraffin embedded tissue suitable for a number of compatible research techniques
  • All applications will be assessed on an individual basis as they are received
  • A small fee per sample will be charged to allow onCore UK to recover some of the costs of storing the collection

2: Application assessed by onCore UK to check compliance with our access policy and availability of required samples. (6-8 weeks depending on sample requirements)

3: Application approved and fees received by onCore UK

4: Samples supplied by onCore UK
